Tianjin¡¯s
knitting industry was founded in 1912 and once the most
important base of knitting production in the country. Since
the 70s¡¯ of last century, knitted garment has won the favor
of consumers increasingly all over the world. At present,
international trade of knitted goods accounts for 30% of the
total trade of textiles and garments, and the needs for
knitted goods are increasing at a higher speed than that of
woven ones. The knitting projects in the park will take the
lead domestically and be the first-class internationally. The
products will be of medium and high grade. The two projects in
this part are as follows.
I.
Knitted leisurewear project
1. Total investment of the project: USD20.02 million
2. The products of the project: knitted night-suit, knitted
underwear, knitted T-shirt, and knitted dress
3. Production scale: annual output 11.15 million pieces
4. Annual sales: USD24.1 million
5. Ratio of profit to sale: 15%
6. Investment recovery period: 5 years

Health-care knitted underwear project
1. Total investment of the project: USD15.6 million
2. The products of the project: high-grade health-care knitted
underwear
3. Production scale: annual output 3 million sets
4. Annual sales: USD18 million
5. Ratio of profit to sale: 19.4%
6. Investment recovery period: 4.8 years
